Today Dec 18th, 2009 the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) released data of the state and regional unemployment rates for November 2009.

As the November national unemployment rate(U-3) fell to 10% from 10.2% in October, the state unemployment rates reflected a downward movement as well. 36 states (72% of the country) and the District of Columbia reported a decrease in their unemployment rates, 8 states reported an increase and 6 states did not see a change in unemployment.
