His Excellency Jorge Dezcallar de Mazarredo became Spain’s Ambassador to the United States in July 2008. Prior to this appointment, he served as secretary general and director of international relations for the International Advisory Board of Repsol, one of Spain’s leading energy companies.
From 2004 to 2006, he served as ambassador to the Holy See and the Sovereign and Military Order of Malta. Between 2001 and 2004, he was a state secretary and director of Spain’s Intelligence Service.
